MERIDIAN, Miss. (May 25, 2017) Public Service Commissioner for the Central District of Mississippi Cecil Brown, left, East Mississippi Electric Power Association (EMEPA) CEO Randy Carroll, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Renewables Manager Steve Noe, Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian Commanding Officer Capt. Scott Bunnay, Department of the Navy’s (DON) Resilient Energy Program Office Executive Director John Kliem, Silicon Ranch Corporation (Silicon Ranch) President & CEO Matthew Kisber and Public Service Commissioner for the Northern District of Mississippi Brandon Presley break ground during a ceremony for the new solar generation facility on board NAS Station Meridian. The DON, TVA, EMPA and Silicon Ranch partnered to develop the solar generation facility on NAS Meridian. The 38-acre facility will generate up to six megawatts of direct current power.
