A cliff being weathered into separate rock pillars in the Magaliesberg mountains of South Africa. The Magaliesberg Mountain is a small mountain chain in the Gauteng and North-west provinces of South Africa. The mountains consist predominantly of layers of shale, quartzite and dolomite of the Transvaal Supergroup which was uplifted and tilted about 2000 million years ago.
