President Bourdet opened the meeting, with all officers in their places. )The Chicago Carnation Co. staged vases of their new carnations, Aviator and Peerless Pink, which graced the president's desk and at- tracted a great deal of attention from the carnation growers present. Communications were read from the Chicago Carnation Co., the Kansas City Florists' Club and W. S. Wells. The trustees reported that they could not make a final report of the recent dance, owing to the fact that all tick- ets had not been turned in. They were given until next meeting to make a final report. H. C. Irish reported on the advisa- bility of organizing a state florists' association. After a discussion, it was decided that this matter would be taken up again at a later meeting. Application for membership was re- ceived from H. M. Biekert. Mr. Ken- dall, of the daily press, spoke on the value of advertising for all holidays and said he was present to interest the club and its members in these differ- ent events as they come each year. This matter will be discussed at the next meeting. It was decided to hold the annual carnation exhibition in March, at the salesrooms of the Windier Wholesale Floral Co.
