AIR, LIGHT AND EFFICIENCY The Willys-Overland Factory Although the single-story Pond Truss building is ideallysuited to the average manufacturing plant employing much skilledlabor, there will always be conditions under which the multiplestor\- building must be used. High land values, In particular, makeone-story construction prohibitively costly; and inability to securethe right site ma> lead to the same Pond A-framcs in roof ol light court in one of the Willys-Overland buildings. Almostthe entire roof area of the light court is axailable for light and ventilation. The Willys-Overland factory in Toledo is located in a built-updistrict which restricts its lateral growth.
