The 18th century Petajavesi Old Church, Finland


The 18th century Petajavesi Old Church, Finland - The wooden church was built by Jaakko Klemetinpoika Leppänen in 1763–65. The bell tower was built by Jaakko Klemetinpojan in 1821. The church is listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. UNESCO considered the church to be a representative Lutheran church of Scandinavian tradition, mixing Renaissance with older Gothic architectural elements.
