At the Kremlin Wall in Moscow’s Red Square, Expedition 48-49 crewmember Takuya Onishi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency lays flowers where Russian space icons are interred during traditional pre-launch ceremonies May 31. Onishi, Kate Rubins of NASA and Anatoly Ivanishin of Roscosmos are scheduled to launch June 24 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on the Soyuz MS-01 spacecraft for a four-month mission on the International Space Station.
