Looking NE from summit of Graig Fawr, to Prestatyn and the sea. Bequeathed 1973 by Sir Geoffrey Summers it is a limestone hill, a smallholding and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It is a popular viewpoint, looking out to the sea in the north and over the Vale of Clwyd to Snowdonia. Dramatic carboniferous limestone dome, highly fossiliferous, formed from remains of coral reef 340 million years ago. Open limestone grassland and exposed rock faces covered by scrub and trees on north and south slopes. Plants include species normally associated with sea cliffs as well as open limestone grassland.
