Bessho Korizawa no huketsu natural refrigerator in Bessho Onsen in Ueda, Nagano, Japan. Friday August 16th 2019. This cool air sump was made to store harvested crops before refrigeration. It works by capturing cooler winds at a higher altitude and diverting to this sump hole lower down the mountain.
