Sending off his heavy artiller\ and bag-gage, he moved with celerity, and taking a good position awaitedWatson. Finding that he did not come, he returned to Hobkirks Rawdon suddenlj^ attacked him. Greene drew up his armyskillfullv, and had flanked Rawdon on both sides and was crushing himwith his main body, when a panic arose in one of his best regiments,the 1st Maryland.
