Supraorbital nerve block. Artwork of a syringe being used to inject a local anaesthetic to numb the supraorbital nerve, a procedure known as a nerve block. This nerve provides sensation for the upper eyelid, the conjunctiva of the eye, the frontal sinus, and the forehead and part of the scalp. This nerve block allows minor surgery to be carried out on these areas. Here the injection is being applied near the eyebrow, close to the supraorbital foramen and supraorbital ridge.
