Hereichthonius left his basket; Erichtonius Cistella Laxata Cernitur; Metamorphoseon Sive Transformationum; Metamorphoses of Ovid. The three daughters of Cecrops open the basket in which Erichthonius, the son of Vulcanus and Mother Earth, is locked up. Erichthonius, with a snake tail, stands next to the basket. Title in Latin in undermarge.
