Beijing's Summer Palace is a large and beautiful ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing, China. It serves both as a popular tourist destination and recreational park. Dating back to the Jin Dynasty around 1150, it was used as a retreat and pleasure palace by centuries of Emperors. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, looking like a Chinese painting, we see an intimate vista of shadows from bamboo on a secluded red door.
