Fabian Pawlar, cameto Ironwood on December 22nd, site for the church, consisting of. REV. ETHELBERT MORGAN, U. F. M. two lots, was purchased on May 18, 1891,from Mr. Louis E. Spiller, for eight hun-dred dollars. The church as built byFather Mlynarczyk, is of frame but was ^Born in 1S41 in Poland, ordained in 1865,died in Milwaukee, December 4th and was buriedin Ironwood on December 11, 1896. brick-veneered by the present pastor cov-ering the cost of this work from a bequestof one thousand dollars made for this pur-pose by Father Baranowski at the time ofhis death. The rectory has a history of itsown. Built by the first pastor as privateproperty on the lot adjoining the churchit was sold by the owner to a Polishsaloonist of Marinette Wisconsin. Hewent bankrupt and the house came intopossession of a Menominee Brewing several years the congregation paidrent to the owners and were willing to buyit but the prohibitive price made the pur-chase impossible.
