History of the Class of 1922 BACK in the dim, far-away days when the road to Asheville was mainlya stretch of red mud for a good part of each year, there arrived at theschool the founders of the Class of 1922, Colburn and Christmas, Caskin entered from the form above. As the boys wereyoung, little was heard from them during the first year. In the fall of 1917, Anderson, Aldrich, and Gardner entered. AfterChristmas, Hardy, Miller, and Strietmann brought the number of membersup to eight. The classs activities during the year were mainly confined tokeeping the alcove masters busy, and to doing a little studying as a diver-sion. Caskin was president of the class. Of the eight members, Millerand Strietmann are the only two who have remained to graduate this year. Beginning with its Third Form year, the class began to make itspresence felt in the school. Only DuMoulin failed to return, whilexAndrews, F. Brown, Gifford, Healey, Hines, Howard, Howell, Hutchinson,Inman, Moerlein
