The Pont a Mousson, a stone bridge built in the 16th century over the Moselle River, was destroyed by German bombardment during World War I. In this photo, taken in 1919, the destruction is evident, and the nearby church of St. Martin, built in 1460, can be seen slightly damaged. Restoration efforts are underway for the bridge, while the church is one of the few buildings that can be repaired.
