This and other images at the Tiroler Folks Museum at Bergisel in the suburbs of Innsbruck. The significance of this site is where Andreas Hofer led his Tirolean Militia Army against the combined armies of France, and Bavaria during the Napoleonic war of 1810. Andreas Hofer, was an Inn keeper who succeeded in mustering a militia from north and south Tyrol to confront Nepoloeon's French and Bavarian army during a major battle at Bergisel on the outskirts of Innsbruck. Hofer was captured and executed on 20 Feb 1810. The 360 panorama mural depicts various stages of the battle shown here with Andreas Hofer flanked to the right by Major Graf Hendl of the Austrian Infantry and monk Joachim Haspringer to the left
