During theoperation several of thecysts had become detachedfrom the common stem byrupture of the slender peti-oles, and I had to huntcarefully about among theintestines to make surethat I left none of patient made an excel-lent recovery, and is nowin perfect health. The adjoining illustra-tion, which is taken froma photograph, will give a better idea of the appearance of thetumor than any description. On the right side and hanging downfrom the mass may be seen the omentum, nearly the whole ofwhich was removed with the tumor, and through the meshes ofwhich many of the cysts seem to have grown. Everywhere thecurious small cysts with their slender pedicles may be seen hang-ing like grapes upon their stalks, and at the upper part of thetumor may be seen some of these pedicles branching and havingcysts attached to them exactly like leaves upon their stalks. Inthis respect it differs somewhat from the first case I have de-scribed, but at other parts of the tumor the resemblance is close, and microscopical investigations gave exactly the same results asthose above described.
