Herb paris plant. Historical artwork of the herb paris plant (Paris quadrifolia). This poisonous plant is now only used in homoeopathic remedies. It also has a narcotic (sleep-inducing) effect. Large doses produce nausea and vomiting and overdoses can be fatal. The leaves and single fruit (purple-blue) are the most poisonous parts.
