Bronchiectasis. Light micrograph of tissue from a lung in a case of bronchiectasis. This is a disorder in which the bronchi and bronchioles, the airways of the lungs, are dilated and distorted. This damages the tissue making it more prone to infection. Two bronchi are seen here (round, left and right). Both are filled with pus. The wall of each bronchus contain fibrovascular granulation tissue.
