unretouched Actor and professional hellraiser Oliver Reed gets down on his knees to apologise to his girlfriend Josephine Burge in a pub in Guernsey. He had just spent a weekend in the island's jail after being arrested for wrestling naked with visiting sailors in the streets. Josephine, 30 years his junior, not only forgave him, she actually married him a year later. To the surprise of many, the marriage proved a success, although in 1986 Ollie was forced to dig up nine acres of his back garden after forgetting where he had buried Josephine's jewelry when drunk.
