The 2016 World Series Championship trophy on display for fans at the annual Chicago Cubs Convention. The trophy awarded to the Cubs by the Commissioner of Major League Baseball at the conclusion of the 2016 World Series symbolizes the team's championship season. The World Series win was the team's first in 108 years and eliminated the longest title draught in American professional sports hisotry. Each year the event has grown into a mammoth occurence drawing strong participation from an extensive fan base. In 2018, the event was the 33rd annual rendidtion of the convention which feartures break out sessions with players, coaches, management and alumni.
