In Rule 13, touching general details, it is nolonger insisted that the captain shall name thegoal-keeper before the commencement of thegame ; and the goal-keeper may now be changedduring the game, in which case the new goal-keepershall be allowed to kick the ball, as already men-tioned in the rule. In Rule 14 the prohibition as to the stick risingabove the shoulder is now specifically applied to no part of the stick. In Rule 17, touching penaltybully, the following words are. SUSSEX. The first few lines now read : If the ball is hit behind the goal line by the at- an addition at the end of the rule, thus : In theevent of the respective captains so agreeing beforethe match, it shall be proper for the umpires togive decisions without appeal. The alterations for this season are certainlv inthe right direction, as they mainly consist of em-bodiments from the notes to the rules.
