POLYANTHUS NARCISSUS The Polyanthus Narcisus produce many small crowned flowers borne in clusters. They are not so hardy as the other classes but are better adapted for forcing. They may be grown in pots of earth but usually do best in bowls or dishes of water. By this method the bulbs may be brought into profuse bloom in four to six weeks from planting. Put an inch or two of saad and gravel in the dish in which they are to be grown, set the bulbs on this, and put enough gravel or shells aroimd them to keep them from falling over. Fill the dish with water and set in a dark closet imtil the roots start freely, then bring them to the light and keep in any ordinary li\-ing room. PAPER WHITEGRANDIFLORA Rowerspure snow white, de
