King county is fortunate in that it has a class of men in its public officeswho are faithful to duty and have the best interests of the community atheart, placing the public welfare before personal aggrandizement and thegood of the community before partisanship. On the list of public officialsappears the name of John W. McConnaughey who is occupying the position ofcounty treasurer.
