Sperm whale tissue analysis. Tissue sample from a dead sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) mounted onto a slide being placed under a microscope. The sample came from a dead male sperm whale that was found on Henne Strand, Jutland, Denmark. The specimen measured 14 meters in length and weighed an estimated 30 tonnes. Photographed at the National Veterinary Institute in Copenhagen.
