Soviet dissident Natalya Gorbanevskaya (R) and rector of Charles University Vaclav Hampl (L) attend the award ceremony in Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Russian poetess and translator Natalya Gorbanevskaya was one of eight protesters to demonstrate in Red Square in Moscow on 25 August 1968 against the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. Now she was awarded by the Gold Medal of Charles University. Natalya Gorbanevskaya visited Prague one month before her death. This photo is one of the last photographs of the brave woman. She died in Paris at age 77 on November 29, 2013, one month after the photograph was taken.
