The Army Mountain Warfare School (AMWS) in Jericho, Vermont, opened its’ doors for the first Basic Military Mountaineer Class to train at the new schoolhouse. Students use the indoor climbing wall to practice knot-tying and ascending and descending techniques. The AMWS is a Army Training and Doctrine Command school run by the Vermont Army National Guard at Ethan Allen Firing Range.
