The Ontario Government hasfixed the price of fish sold by them, andto quote from the Kingston Whin: Itis evident that the local dealers do notwant to handle the supplies of OntarioGovernment fish which have been offeredto the city. Some have been approachedby members of the city council but theyclaim that after allowance has beenmade for deterioration in the fish, andthe cost of keeoinq: them, there is littleprofit in the sale. J. Hatley store, Orillia, Ont,has been enabled to build up a largebusiness. A. E. Hawkins, the managerof the grocery department, stated em-phatically that the combination was onethat meant improved opportunities andenlarged sales. Other merchants in thetown paid an unconscious tribute to theeffectiveness when they stated that thestore did a good part of the businesswith the summer resorts around the dis-trict because they were able to supplymeat as well as groceries.
