A male Wandering Albatross (Diomedia exulans) sky pointing (Displaying) on Bird Island, South Georgia, sub-Antarctic

The weather cleared up briefly yesterday, providing a small window of opportunity to get out and photograph the stunning displays of the Wandering Albatross (Diomedia exulans). Listed as vulnerable by the IUCN, these long lived (50+ years) seabirds are at threat from incidental mortality (bycatch) from the long line fishing industry.
