Quiver Tree Flowers-Namibia
Detail of the foot-high flowers of the Quiver Tree, Quiver Trees are unique to Namibia and flower in June as these quiver Tree is in fact not a tree but an Aloe that groes to arround 9 metres and can reach 300 years of age. The quiver tree gets it's name from the fact that the wood is very pithy and is easy to hollow out to make quivers for the bushmans arrows.
