There has been some funeral work most of the time and the stock has been cleaned up nearly all of the time. Roses are first-class in quality, but at times there are hard- ly enough to go around. Carnations are in greater abundance, but are cleaned up daily. Beauties are fair in quality, but the demand is not heavy. Violets and sweet peas have been moving nice- ly of late. Orchids" and valley had a slow call last week. Home-grown stevia is a thing of the past. Paper Whites and hyacinths are plentiful. Tulips aftrk jonquils had considerable call last week. Pot plants have been moving well, including azaleas, cyclamens, begonias, primulas, etc. Various Notes. Secretary Baui, of the American Car- nation Society, has mailed out the pre- mium list for the carnation show in New York in April. George B. Wiegand has been, ap- pointed a judge of the decorative classes in carnations at the Interna- tional Flower Show in New York next April. Alfred Brandt is to move from his present location to 5 East Ohio street. Mr. Brandt thinks this will be a better location. Mrs. Louise Ausberger has a new baby boy at their home. Mrs. Ausber- ger was formerly Miss Louise Pahud. The Smith & Young Co. has been cutting some of the best Killarney seen in this market. ' L. F. Benson reports business satis- factory in his new location. A. Wiegand's Sons Co. is showing a nice lot of azaleas, cyclamens and primul£^p.
