Gauleiter Julius Streicher (1885-1946), delivering a speech at the "opening of the Third Craft Competitions of the Province of Franconia on the Adolf Hitler Square, Nurnberg, February 2, 1936, German Worker's Front, Franconia." Streicher was addressing ranks of uniformed men and boys. Note the big round baffles covering and protecting the microphones from rain and wind. Streicher was one of Hitler's earliest supporters and rewarded him with protection against whoever hated Streicher's anti-Jewish rantings and publications.
