The index also obtained by comparisonof the upper and lower limbs with each other is 70 (the latterbeing taken as 100). This high index shows an approximationin the proportions of the limbs of the Kubus to those of theanthropoid apes, and indicates that the length of the upperlimb is considerably greater in proportion than that of thelower as compared to what obtains in Europeans. In theNegro and the Andarnanese, on the other hand, the upperlimb is proportionately to the lower shorter than in Europeans. Unfortunately the number of Kubu skulls obtained is not.
