Mourning woman with veiled face depicted on the sarcophagus of the Empress Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel (1691 - 1750) in the Kaisergruft (Imperial Crypt) in Vienna, Austria. Empress Elisabeth Christine was a wife of Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI and a mother of Empress Maria Theresa. The statue is the earliest work by Austrian sculptor Balthasar Ferdinand Moll.
