There are demon-strations to witness, lectures to listen to,addresses to follow, and inspections tomake. There is little time left forsleeping in, the sessions opening at9 , daily. And so the four conven-tion days were crowded full. Practical Discussions One of the interesting days was thelast—Thursday being devoted to Sell-ing, Promotion, and Inspection. It is. The four top notchers among the salesmen ofthe Canada Paint Company. but natural that men out on the battlefield want to improve the opportunityof seeing how the products they areselling are made, and every advantagewas improved, on this occasion, of seek-ing the many operations that are re-quired to prepare C-P for the can inwhich it is whisked away to the dealer,everywhere. Under the direction of Sales Man-ager S. M. Ward, an informative andexhaustive session on Advertising and Publicity was held on Thursdaymorning. This elicited real interest, forit was the occasion on which the sales--Attend- men were made aware of what assist-ance was to be afforded them in theirselling efforts during 1920. The inter-est with which they fol-lowed the explanation of,dealer helps and outdoor,as well as newspaper,trade paper, and magazineadvertising proposals, wasmarked, and continued tothe very close of this ses-sion.
