Make repeated sowings every 2 weeks. 232 Chantenay, Improved Red Cored. A large, thick, stump-rooted carrot slightly tapering towards the bottom. The orange-red skin is very smooth, making it of very attractive appearance. The quality is most excellent, being very crisp and tender with core hardly distinguishable. Of rich orange-red color, smooth, and handsome. The roots are 6 to 7 inches long and taper to a blunt point. They are sweet, crisp, and tender and this improved strain is almost coreless.
