This is extensively known as a market berry in all sections. As a shipping variety it stands among the best and, with high culture, it yields good crops of solid, rich flavored fruit, when fully ripe; matures a few days later than the Crescent. ^Oc. per doz.; 75c. per 100; $5. per 1000. Longfellow. Resembles Sharpless in flavor, but more firm, productive and hardy; berries darker red, of the fineot flavor among the whole class of straw- berries; large and very attractive.
