This charge heheld for five years, and after a post-graduate courseat Yale, took the Pastorate of the First Congrega-tional Church of New Milford, Connecticut, wherehe remained for four years. In 1889 he was calledto the Second Presbyterian Church of Easton, Penn-sylvania, and w-hile Pastor of this Church was Moder-ator of the Presbytery of Lehigh in 1892 and the latter year he took up his present relation tothe First Reformed Church of Newark, New commanding presence in the pulpit, his schol-arly attainments, his eloquence and his dignifiedpresentation of the Gospel make him a power among.
