abstract cables

I was first drawn to the chaos and beauty of the ubiquitous and numerous electric cables in Thailand, where they are an often overlooked feature of the country. I was drawn to photographing them without then knowing they represented or rather spoke to me. On the one hand there was a certain aesthetic and on the other I saw a metaphor for depression. If ones likens the cables to the nervous system, state of mind and/or clarity of thought then these cables, these areas of deep black and white speak of states, moods, confusion, lack of in particular and at the same time they are extremely beautiful and velvety.
