A kill- inw frost visited Baltimore and sur- roundings territory. Only the day be- fore, dahlias in the wholesale houses were found of the finest quality on every hand and far more than could possibly be used. Roses continue to improve in quality. During the first part of the week they dragged a little, owing to the glut of dahlias, but made a good reoovery toward the end of the week. Mums, especially outdoor varie- ties, were plentiful. Some fine ones were to be had last week, but now it looks as though there would be a scarcity of good ]iink. Yellow and white were never better. Smilax is not to be had, but asparagus can be had in
