Nuthatch. (Sitta europaea).


A nuthatch, hanging or running head first down a tree, with its head up, typical of this little bird. They like rough bark on trees where they can force seed or nuts into the bark to hold them whilst fairly common visitor to bird tables but nests in holes in trees when it will plaster the too large hole up with mud until the hole is just the right size for the bird to squeeze in to.
