ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 11, 2017) Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Adam Parker, from Virginia Beach, Va., inspects the afterburner of a jet engine in the jet shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). Dwight D. Eisenhower and its carrier strike group are underway participating in a sustainment exercise designed to maintain deployment readiness as part of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP).
