Apr. 2, 1781, one house lot, number four, also one lot, containingten acres in the East Division, being part of a forty acre lot and is ad-joining sd house lot. Apr. 10, 1781, bought of Asahel Stebbins of Northfield for £16 twohouse lots, one joining on East River. Mr. White built in Rockingham a frame house, which is now stand-ing as a corn barn near the brick house built by his son Phineas in1813 and afterward occupied by Phineas sons, Luke and WilliamWhite. In the old church at Rockingham built about 1773, we find the pewonce occupied by Josiah White and on the deed
