The females of stronachi have creamy-white underparts with a slight but variable suffusion of grey. Within both subspecies the male plumage is consistently darker than that of the female, though it is necessary to confirm this by examining more specimens. The female of the nominate form is the palest, with a white underside and only a slight creamy suffusion, while females of stronachi are only slightly darker than nominate males. Previous.
