Oh, yes, you can, if I help you ! he replied,coaxingly; c you know I have often helped youup hills. £ But, Charley, I think we could get round it,Rosy said, going first to one side and then to theother, to see on which side it would be easiest topass. c Oh, that would be cowardly, returnedCharley. c Travellers always go up all the moun-tains that they come near. So Rosy crave way at once, for she alwaysbelieved everything that Charley said. But thistime it was with a trembling heart; for, though sheliked running down hill very well, she was neververy fond of tugging up steep places. Indeed,when her papa was with her he generally carriedher up the hills and let her run down
