Head a little longer than broad, about as broad in front as behind, sides, narrowly angled posterior corners and concave border. Mandi-bular blades 6-dentate, the three basal blades short, the others longer and rather strongh convex, sharply carinate at middle; anterior borderfeebly rounded. Antennal scapes almost attaining occipital corners; funicularjoints two to eight slightly transverse; terminal joint longer than the twopreceding joints taken together. Postpetiole trans-versely ovate; broader than petiole. Somewhat shining, the gaster and legs more so than the rest. Mandiblesand clj-peus coarsely striate. Head longitudinally striate, the striae becomingreticulate on vertex, sides, and occiput. Thorax, epinotum, petiole, and post-petiole coarsely, cribrately punctate.
