HESTER. In Memory of Monday, March nth, 1918, theRev. Benjamin Franklin Hester, of BurrOak, Kansas, peacefully and quietlybreathed his last at the close of a short,though not severe illness of five was sixty-three years, eleven months,and five days old and had experiencedhut a few days of illness during his BENJAMIN FRANKLIN HESTER. The near relatives left behind are thewife, formerly Miss Marie FrancesHicks of Danville, Knox County, Ohio,and six children: Harold Hester, Pro-fessor of History and Philosophy inHoughton College, Houghton, NewYork; Mrs. Ethel (Hester) Hansen ofSeneca, Nebraska; C. Floyd Hester, Pro-fessor of History and Economics in theCity High School, Chippewa Falls, Wis-consin; Mrs. Edna (Hester) Kaufmannof Akron, Ohio; John E. and W. OrangeHester at home. Father Hester, as he was called byhis neighbors in later years, had been aProhibition Party worker and voter eversince his conversion at the age of twentyin Shelby County, Indiana. Here hewas born and raised on his fathers farm near Manilla, Indiana. He was thefirst of the family to begin the Christianlife and was instrumental in turning hisparents and brothers Godward and Hea-venward. He prepared for the ministryat Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois,at the United Brethren College at Harts-ville, India
