Two miles farther down the canon from the last-described ruin, andoccupying the summit of a promontory-like point around which theChaco swings in a sharp elbow, are the ruins of the Pueblo PenascaBlanca. Next to the Pueblo Bonito this is the largest in exterior di-mensions of all the ruins. With the exception of the Pueblo Pintadoit is the only one on the south side of the canon, and the only one, withanother exception, built above the bottom of the canon.
