KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. - Technicians at the Space Station Processing Facility perform a fit check of the Thermal Protection System Sample Box on the Lightweight Multi-Purpose Experiment Support Structure Carrier (LMC). The box is the actual flight hardware scheduled to fly on the Space Shuttle Return to Flight mission STS-114. The Thermal Protection Detailed Test Objective will enable astronauts to test new on-orbit Thermal Protection System repair techniques. Mission STS-114 is scheduled to launch in May 2005.
