Archaeological dig site of Lumpkin's Slave Jail in Richmond,Virginia. This was one of four major regional sites that handled the slave commerce in this was the most infamous and was nicknamed "The Devil's 1/2 Acre". After slavery was abolished it was turned into a school for freed slaves.
